Guys Behind the Blog | Link-Up

It is time for a link up with Heavens to Betsy for a Guys Behind the Blog link-up! I've never participated in this before and am so grateful that Eric agreed to participate. I won't lie, when I read his responses I got a bit sappy, so be prepared. 

1.  If you could write a book, what topic would you write about and why?

 I would write a book about the importance of parents supporting their children in any endeavor they choose, I would do this because my parents unconditional support of my life lead me down amazing paths and gave me experiences that I otherwise would never have had. I could tell stories of the amazing doors being a musician opened for me and explain the heartbreaks it brought but how those heart breaks and their support caused me to become the man I am today.  Unfortunately I am neither intelligent enough or capable of writing well enough to do this. 

2.  What is one thing on your bucket list, or one thing that you’d like to do or accomplish in your lifetime?

Get married.

3.  If you could look out your window and only see one view for the rest of your life, what would you want to see?

-- Can I just say that I am superbly jealous of the views he's seen? Thankfully he's willing to see most of them with me again.

4.  Imagine you’re opening a shop.  What are you selling? 

Musical Instruments.

5.  If you could have 50lbs of anything other than money, what would it be?

 Super well fit comfortable jeans!  Because I can't find any.........

6.  Time to brag on your girl…tell us one thing that makes you proud of your girlfriend/fiance/wife!

I'm proud of her because she is so adamantly independent and self sure, she refuses to let others opinions change who she is and there is nothing I value greater in this world than a person comfortable in themselves and their beliefs. 

Do you see why I was a little sappy? Yeah, this man is the best I've ever known. I feel like some of this can be read as "stubborn"

Coffee Date | Link Up

So I decided to finally do a link up, which I used to adore but, now I've gotten lazy. Laziness as it turns out is the killer of blog writing.  So this link up seems fun because Jenna started this to build community and promote honest blogging. I'm a fan of being open and honest about life. Sometimes it stinks, sometimes it doesn't. Luckily for me lately it's been pretty fantastic and this last week was a big ball of amazing.  HIGHLIGHTS 90% of my week I applied for some VTO (Voluntary Time Off) because I really wasn't feeling work. My car had died Monday and that kind of just started off me not wanting to be at work. It's not that I don't enjoy work, because I do. I enjoy that I can kind of slack off and still do what I'm paid to do which is reading and approving applications for an affiliate program, I read blogs.  Then the most amazing thing happened... MY BEST FRIEND GAVE BIRTH! Tresa (Tre/T) had her little bundle Steevi Lynn on Thursday which made my week significantly better. Since starting photography I've been drawn to starting fresh 48 aka a baby whose just been born, in hospital -or home- and taking pictures of the family with the babes. I've named myself honorary aunt and will be taking pictures of this peanuts first year of life.

Next highlight would be spending the majority of my time with Eric after finishing cleaning my house -there is a post solely dedicated to that- and going to the holiday party. Why is there a holiday party in January? Oh cause we have a ramp up for the holiday "peak" season and not everyone gets converted.. yay.

LOWS

- I really don't enjoy work after being moved down to a position where I'm not devolping others.. what sucks more is seeing individuals who kept that position (they were permanent before peak) be lazy and not even care. One of my "people" told me that they haven't been coached since our last coaching at the end of December. UGH! 

-I took too much VTO and will be cutting it tight for my budget going into vacation. 

-My car died on Monday cause I left my dome light on *shakes head* I had been in a little fender bender before the weekend and just didn't think to turn it off. 

The lows aren't that bad, but they can drain on you, which is why I'm so happy to have so many highlights this week!

I've never read Jenni's blog, but because of some lovely ladies (Mrs McDancer & Ashley) who are participating I decided I should too. 

Things that make you uncomfortable:

I suppose a lot of things make me uncomfortable, or that I make others feel uncomfortable. I am awkward. 

- Sitting alone at church

- Military events 

- Bugs

- Most social events

- Hanging out with couples who fight in front of you 

- People at the gym who grunt while lifting.. dude.. I get it "beast mode" what-ev's 

- Going clothes shopping - hence my constant gym going lately. 

- My crazy neighbor, she over shares. 

- Being asked about A's & my relationship.. look we aren't getting married, no kids, I'm sorry you don't agree with it! 

- Being invited to ex's weddings. Thank you for making me apart of your big day, oh and for trying to subject me to side glances from your mother.. no thank you. 

- When people cry on the phone, did you guys know I don't show empathy well? 

I mean there are loads of things that make me uncomfortable, there are people in this world that I would rather go through a root canal than be in the same room as. But I do subject myself through a lot of those things on that list.. except ex's weddings. Its just wrong.
